Ongoing Effects Edit

Any player who spends an action point to make an attack and can see Andrec may gain the following benefit:
* If the attack hits, you may either make a basic attack or take a move action as a free action.
* If the attack misses, you grant combat advantage to all enemies until the end of your next turn.
* You must choose whether or not to use this benefit before making the attack.
Andrec grants a +1 to-hit to all allies making an attack granted by one of Andrec's warlord powers, so long as the target is adjacent to Andrec.
Andrec deals 1d6 extra damage when he hits enemies that are at maximum hit points with his Challenge-Seeking Longsword +1

Andrec is an unassuming young man of middling height, with light brown hair and dark brown eyes. He speaks with a soft voice, and tends to get overlooked from time to time. Aside from his armor & the sword on his back, the only feature that stands out is a long scar down the left side of his face, just in front of the temple.

Eight years ago Andrec arrived wide-eyed in the Transitive Isles, after minor misadventures took him from his distant home. Amazed at the variety of peoples and cultures here, and the number of places known about by the peoples of the island, he devoured every bit of information he could get regarding the isles and the places and peoples beyond. Soon, however, it became clear that was all he was devouring, and he sought work. Unassuming, with a penchant for diligence and a passion for the isles and their people, he took naturally to paperwork, and has worked as an accountant and minor bureaucrat throughout the city.
One thing about the city that Andrec does not romanticize, is the class distinction. Andrec was raised to believe that each person is an individual, and is solely responsible for their actions. Recently he encountered a young woman in desperate need. Pursued and persecuted because of her nature (she was a tiefling), she was accused of crimes she did not commit. Andrec hid her, and used his influence with the bureaucracy of the city to protect her. After she left, he later learned that he had been used by a criminal, and her crimes were indeed her own.
Wiser, more careful, and far less secure in his position, Andrec has chosen to give up the life of a minor bureaucrat for now. He has liquidated his possessions and purchased adventuring gear. Dusting off the soldier's training he received as a lad from his father, he has decided to put his skill in administration to use as an adventurer. And a wise decision it was, as many of his associates are resentful, or at least distrustful.
Andrec hopes to gain some knowledge of the isles (and perhaps the worlds beyond), as he lets the politics of Daunton move on without him. Perhaps in a few years he will be able to return to a quiet life.

Isn't sure how to get back to where he came from, though he likes it in Daunton (usually)
Has a weakness for a damsel in distress(really anyone who cannot defend themselves, but particularly those who seem unjustly persecuted).
Talented paperpusher and capable bureaucrat, though lack of ascerbic attitude will prevent him from advancing in a government position. Also skilled with figures.
Known to many of the lower- and middle- level bureaucrats of Daunton, including (though not limited to) taxation, transport, and customs authorities.

Really, REALLY wants to get out of Daunton for a while, or at least keep his head down. Has just taken a room at the Hanged Man.

Recent Events:

  • Make a note on your character sheet that your PC are heroes in the Commons.
  • The fights in Fisherman's Alley and in front of Vena's Grace Hospital were very public affairs and the public approves greatly of that brand of heroism.
  • In future adventures in the Commons you can point out to your DM that you have earned some notoriety in the area. They might decide to acknowledge that within their adventure. Don't make a fuss if they decide not to, it's their call!
  • Player's Note: Andrec and a group of other citizens rallied against a criminal use of necromancy, quelling a dangerous disturbance of the peace and tracing it to it's source, a now deceased minor crimelord and necromancer named Rinch. Andrec's allies in this adventure were: Jarel-Karn, Mesa, Montroya, One-Who-Waits, Molok, Maltlal Atzintli, and Tor.
